Vice President, Strategic Planning & Communications
Paula is a purposeful leader with over 25 years of experience in brand and culture building, communications, stakeholder engagement and social impact thought leadership.
As Vice President, Strategic Planning and Communications, Paula leads development and implementation of the company's corporate strategy, stakeholder relations and engagement. Paula is also responsible for TCHC's strategic approach to leading in social housing communications across multiple platforms and audiences.
Most recently, Paula served as Vice President, People, Strategy & Communications for Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) where she led the organization's transformation to a more modern and agile enterprise. In this role, Paula established organization wide business excellence standards and built a best-in-class marketing and corporate communications function raising the organization's profile in Canada and internationally. Paula also chaired the Canadian Association of Provincial Cancer Agencies (CAPCA), Drug Funding Sustainability Communications and the Stakeholder Engagement Committee.
Prior to that, she was Chief of Staff, Vice President, Corporate Image & Business Excellence with Microsoft Canada. Paula led a high-performing team in building the Microsoft brand in Canada and was a member of Microsoft's Global Communications Council. She was recognized by Bill Gates as one of the company's most influential leaders and was a recipient of the Chairman's Award. She has been named as one of the top 150 Canadian Women in Business, the Top 100 Most Powerful Women and her contributions to the community in Canada have seen her awarded both the Queen Elizabeth Diamond and Golden Jubilee Medals.
