Tenant Councils
Elected tenant leaders in each building or townhouse form Tenant Councils. These councils drive leadership development, community development priorities, and initiatives.
Tenant Councils give tenants a stronger voice in local decision-making. Councils shape programs, guide local priorities, and strengthen communities.
Tenants in the East, West, and Central regions elected their tenant representatives. These representatives now form local Tenant Councils that serve as an essential mechanism for tenant input and community leadership. Toronto Community Housing holds tenant elections approximately every three years.
