League of Her Own

League of Her Own (LOHO) is an integrated program that offers year-round engagement opportunities for young women living in Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) ages 12 to 18. It features a combination of regional activities, workshops, excursions, and the U.P. (Unleashing Potential) League. The program fosters meaningful connections, strengthens self-identity, and cultivates resilience within young women.

    In partnership with MLSE Launchpad

Unleashing Potential (U.P.) League is a girls basketball league for young women ages 12 to 18 years old. For seven weeks in July and August, participants are bused to MLSE Launchpad where they eat dinner, participate in self-development workshops, on-court skills and drills sessions, and game play. The program creates a safe space where young women can foster connections with peers from various communities, develop their basketball skills, and increase self-esteem.
