Toronto Community Housing announces Lily Chen as new Chief Financial Officer

Toronto Community Housing is excited to announce that Lily Chen will be joining TCHC as Chief Financial Officer, effective February 13, 2023.

Lily joins TCHC from St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph and St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre Brantford, part of the St. Joseph's Health System, where she is currently the Integrated Vice President Finance & Information Services/Chief Financial Officer. Lily is also the Administrator for St. Joseph’s Housing Corporation and has led and contributed to Guelph Wellington and Brantford Brant Norfolk Ontario Health Teams and St. Joseph’s Health System committees and working groups. Prior to joining St. Joseph's Health System, Lily had worked in public and private sectors including General Electric Canada, William Osler Heath System and Runnymede Healthcare Centre.

A Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Health Executive, Lily has supported a number of critical healthcare system integration and housing initiatives. She advanced community senior housing developments in Guelph and Brantford, funded by the Canada Mortgage Housing Corporation, provincial and municipal government. She also led the capital development for an expansion of 160 new long term care beds in Guelph.

Lily’s extensive experience was not the only factor that made her stand out as the right candidate for TCHC. She is a results-oriented strategic thinker and decision maker with a history of building strategic alliances to advance population health strategies and the cause of quality social housing.  Lily’s background will enable her to connect quickly with TCHC’s wide range of stakeholders, find common ground and advance TCHC’s vision of quality homes in vibrant communities where people are proud to live and work.
