“We are saddened by this senseless act of gun violence and tragic loss of life. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and loved ones and the entire Jane Falstaff community.

“Our local staff are in the community working alongside the City’s Crisis Response team to support tenants and connect them to trauma-related supports. Our Community Safety Unit has shared surveillance video of suspects and is assisting the Toronto Police Service as they pursue a homicide investigation. We encourage tenants and the public to report any information that may help the investigation to Toronto Police at (416) 808-2222 or anonymously to Toronto Crime Stoppers at (416) 222-8477.

“Toronto Community Housing staff will partner with the City of Toronto Crisis Response Team, Toronto Police Service, the local City Councillor and community services agencies to host a safety meeting for all residents of the Jane Falstaff community. The meeting will be an opportunity for tenants to share their concerns about safety and provide input into a community safety plan. More information about the meeting will be shared next week.”
