Applications re-open for the Senior Tenants Advisory Committee
Are you a senior tenant living in the Seniors Housing Unit? Do you want to get involved and have your voice heard? Do you have thoughts or ideas on how to promote aging in place, a better quality of life and successful tenancies? If you answered yes to any of those questions, there are engagement opportunities for you.
Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) is recruiting senior tenants to join the Senior Tenants Advisory Committee (STAC). The STAC will be made up of tenants living in TCHC Seniors Housing Unit buildings who will help develop, design and implement the Integrated Service Model (ISM). The ISM will improve access to services and support for senior tenants in all seniors TCHC buildings across Toronto.
The STAC will be made up of 12 to 15 senior tenants who will serve for a one-year term. Only tenants living in the Seniors Housing Unit are eligible to apply.

Responsibilities
- Review and provide feedback on the design of the ISM and the implementation plan
- Support tenant outreach and engagement activities related to ISM initiatives as requested by the TCHC Seniors Housing Unit
Previous application period
A call for applicants to the Senior Tenants Advisory Committee (STAC) opened in February 2020. However, recruitment was paused due to COVID-19.
As the City of Toronto and TCHC move into business recovery phases, projects and programs like the STAC are restarting. Going forward, TCHC will be responsible for recruitment and oversight of the STAC, while keeping the City informed about its progress.
All applications that were submitted during the original application period will automatically be considered for this new round.
