Resident Relocation in Regent Park, Phase 4

Resident Relocation in Regent Park, Phase 4

Notification of Upcoming Relocation

In Spring 2023, Toronto Community Housing's (TCH) Relocation Team will be contacting residents of buildings in the Phase 4 area of the Regent Park Revitalization Project to help them prepare for relocation:

There will be an online information session for tenants to learn more (see below). The buildings in the following list of addresses are part of Phase 4, which will begin relocation in Spring 2023.

325 Gerrard St.

355 Gerrard St.

361-367 Gerrard St.

274 Sackville St.

295 Sackville St.

319-325 Sackville St.

Tenants in Phase 4 buildings will be able relocate their household to an appropriate sized unit for the duration of construction, before returning to a new unit built as part of the revitalization in Regent Park.

There are two important things for all TCHC tenants to know about relocation during the revitalization of their community.

  1. TCH takes great care to provide relocating tenants with an appropriately-sized unit for their household that keeps them in their home community, if they choose to remain there. If an appropriately sized unit is not available in the home community, other options will be offered to tenants. Learn more about TCHC's relocation process.
  2. We offer every relocated tenant the right to return to a new unit in their revitalized community. The right to return is not affected by the location that the tenant relocates to. The next TCHC rental replacement building located at 175 Oak Street is targeted for completion in early 2024.

Preparing for relocation

If your building will be relocated in Spring 2023, we recommend that you update your household's tenancy information at your dedicated Tenant Service Hub so that you have an accurate assessment of your family size.

Make a note that you will receive another notice in early 2023, including a relocation information package and an N13 notice that ends your current tenancy so that we can help you move to a new unit.
