Tenant Representative Elections Icon The Tenant Representative elections help to keep Toronto Community Housing accountable to residents for the quality of the housing and services. In February, Toronto Community Housing staff held information meetings in communities across the city to explain the process for the March 26 elections. Successful candidates of the Tenant Representative elections began a new term in April 2015. The current Tenant Representative terms ended on June 30, 2019.

How Tenant Representatives work with the community

Tenant elections are one way of supporting tenant leadership. Tenants have the opportunity to elect Tenant Representatives to represent them on the Neighbourhood Council. Tenants also nominate two Board of Directors positions and are part of Toronto Community Housing's Policy and program working group.​
