2021
We know that
participating in elections during a pandemic is not easy, and we appreciate all
tenants who choose to take part. We have used feedback from communities in
phase one to update the process for the rest of the phases.
The elections of
tenant leaders for communities in phase two and three was completed in
December.
- Since
the launch of Tenant Elections implementation, 1,883 tenant leaders
representing 139 communities have been put in place and are currently
participating in the Tenant Engagement System. This includes 437 Community
Representatives and 1,446 Building/Townhouse Committee Members.
- Considering
the impact of pandemic on tenant engagement and participation, the Tennant
Engagement regional teams are implementing a new elections outreach
and campaign to rebuild local social networks and increase tenants'
participation in the elections process
