Journeys to Success

Journeys to Success

Journeys to Success is an annual empowerment and capacity-building initiative for Toronto Community Housing residents. Attendees hear directly from "change agents" or ordinary people who have created positive change in their lives and communities. The events are designed to inspire and empower attendees to think about how they can shape their personal journey toward reaching their goal. Attendees also participate in networking activities so they can forge connections with people who can help them beyond this event. At the end of a Journeys to Success event, participants walk away with a larger network and the inspiration they need to become - or continue being - positive role models in their communities.

What began as a program designed for female residents has expanded in 2015 to provide programming for male residents.
Jour neys to Success: Celebrating Community Heroes (PDF) was held on July 26, 2015 for residents who identify as male. This event was provided in partnership between Toronto Community Housing and Concrete Roses, The LAMP Community Health Centre and Rathburn Area Youth.
