All city residents are welcome to drop in to learn more about the range of employment services and supports available to jobseekers and employers. Staff at each Employment Centre can help with:

- Researching occupations and labour market information
- Career development
- Job search coaching and assistance with resumes and interview skills
- Networking techniques and other employment related workshops
- Education and training options and other program referrals

Ontario Works provides employment support and money for food, shelter and other costs to people in financial need. Employment Assistance may include services to help people find jobs or become more job-ready, money for training and employment related expenses, and employment programs. Financial Assistance may include money for food, shelter, clothing, household expenses and health costs.
City of Toronto Employment Centres offer resources and services to Toronto residents who are searching for employment and training opportunities. Staff can connect residents to job search resources, career planning tools and more. Employment Centres also provide access to Wi-Fi, computers, printers, scanners and photocopiers. There are 19 Employment Centres located across the city.
Employment Centre Portal
The Toronto Employment Centre Portal is an online tool where you can learn about TESS Employment Centre services, locations, events and more. The portal also allows you to view, learn and register for upcoming workshops and job fairs hosted by TESS and City divisions.
Employment Opportunities System
Learn about and apply for job opportunities across Toronto. You first need to complete the online registration process and upload your resume and cover letter. Go to any Toronto Employment Centre for the login password required to complete the registration.
Job Incentive Program
The Toronto Public Service Job Incentive Program offers volunteer opportunities in Toronto Public Services for Toronto residents who receive Ontario Works or the Ontario Disability Support Program.
Partnership to Advance Youth Employment (PAYE)
Through the Partnership to Advance Youth Employment program, the City of Toronto and private sector employers work to increase access to economic opportunities for Toronto youth. The PAYE program matches qualified candidates to job opportunities, connecting youth to interviews with top-rated employers from across Toronto.
Investing in Neighbourhoods
Investing in Neighbourhoods is a joint program between the City of Toronto and various community agencies to create meaningful and rewarding jobs for Toronto residents who participate in Ontario Works. The program looks to provide paid employment for up to one year, with the opportunity to build new skills and gain valuable employment references. The jobs also benefit local Toronto neighbourhoods by helping community agencies enhance their local services and programs.
