Senior Tenants Advisory Committee

Senior Tenants Advisory Committee

The Senior Tenants Advisory Committee is an advisory body to TCHC's Seniors Housing Unit and The City of Toronto's Seniors Services & Long-Term Care Division on the Integrated Service Model.

Toronto City Council approved the creation of the Senior Tenants Advisory Committee to inform the design and implementation of the Integrated Service Model. The Seniors Housing Unit and The City of Toronto recruited senior tenants who live in TCHC's Seniors Housing Unit buildings across the city to participate in the Senior Tenants Advisory Committee. The Senior Tenants Advisory Committee is important in ensuring tenant voices are heard.

The role of the Senior Tenants Advisory Committee is to:

  • Share ideas on how the Integrated Service Model can meet the needs of senior tenants
  • Provide advice and feedback on various aspects of the Integrated Service Model
  • Support outreach and engagement activities related to the Integrated Service Model with other tenants in the seniors' buildings
  • Promote the inclusion of tenant voices in decision making

If you are a tenant of one of the 83 buildings in the Seniors Housing Unit, you can apply to become a committee member at any time by going to the City of Toronto website. Applicants may be contacted for an interview when there is an opening.

If you have questions or comments about the Senior Tenants Advisory Committee (STAC) or the Integrated Service Model (ISM), you can email STAC@torontohousing.ca or call 416-981-6601.
