Toronto Community Housing's Resident and Community Services division hosted a Service Provider Forum on November 4. The event brought together more than 90 staff from more than 40 social, health and community-based service providers that work closely with us to support residents.
The full-day event included presentations, roundtable discussions and networking. It gave service providers a chance to learn more about the work we do and discuss how we can continue to work together to address our shared challenges and improve the lives of residents.
Partners from the Toronto Central LHIN, Cota, LOFT Community Services and the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association also delivered presentations that discussed best practices for collaborative service delivery.
"We're proud to work with hundreds of service providers across the city, and know they are critical to our success in supporting residents," said Danny Anckle, Director, Resident Access and Support Services. "Partners like these help us solve challenging cases, provide on-site supports and deliver a wide range of programs and services in our communities."
Throughout the day Toronto Community Housing also received positive feedback from a number of service providers who thanked us for the important work we do.
"People truly came away from the day with a deeper understanding of Toronto Community Housing and your entire team really showed appreciation for the work that is done by the organizations. I know that meant a great deal, and will go a very long way for us all to work together," said Debra Walko, Director, Seniors Services, LOFT Community.
