On Tuesday evening, we met with Swansea Mews tenants for a second town hall to present information on a relocation plan for tenants, as well as a report from engineers on their findings in the community. The meeting was held at Humber College Lakeshore's auditorium from 6 to 10 p.m.
The meeting was attended by Jag Sharma (CEO & President, TCHC), other members of TCHC's Executive Leadership Team and City of Toronto's Chief Building Official, Will Johnston. Elected officials from the community also attended in-person and online, including Councillors Perks and Fletcher, MPP Bhutila Karpoche and MP Arif Virani.
"This was another important meeting, with tenants expressing their frustrations with information gaps and concerns with the timelines TCHC is proposing for relocation," said Jag Sharma, CEO & President, TCHC. "Above all else, I am grateful to tenants for continuing to engage with us in this process. We recognize that this is a highly disruptive and stressful time and we are committed to supporting tenants through this difficult time."
