Len Koroneos appointed interim CEO of Toronto Community Housing

Len Koroneos will serve as Toronto Community Housing�s interim Chief Executive Officer, managing director Case Ootes announced today.

The appointment is effective on Monday, April 4th. Mr. Koroneos will perform the role on an interim basis until the company�s new board of directors completes the search for a permanent chief executive officer later this year.

�Mr. Koroneos will be working with the executive team and staff to move the company forward by building on its current strengths and fostering new ideas for our business operations,� Mr. Ootes said. �He will ensure that Toronto Community Housing continues with its vision of providing Torontonians with quality affordable housing.�

Mr. Koroneos joined the company in September 2010 as Chief Financial Officer. He will continue to oversee the duties of the Chief Financial Officer together with the current management staff.

Prior to joining Toronto Community Housing, Mr. Koroneos spent 22 years with a major health care services corporation operating in Canada and the United States, where he held senior management positions of vice-president taxation, treasurer, and vice president business development. He gained extensive experience in taxation, accounting, auditing and finance while working for KPMG, an international accounting firm.�

Mr. Koroneos holds a BBA degree from the Schulich School of Business and obtained his chartered accountant (CA) designation in 1979.

Toronto Community Housing will not be offering any further public comment on this matter.
