Toronto Community Housing joins Bill Bosworth's family, friends and colleagues in mourning his sudden passing on August 18th.
Bill spent a long and distinguished career in the social housing sector. He worked for a variety of housing providers, including Metro Toronto Housing Corp. Ltd., before joining Toronto Community Housing at its inception in 2001. Bill served as manager, policy and planning, and later as manager, research, and he was project manager for the Don Mount Court (Rivertowne) redevelopment. Earlier this year, Bill joined Social Housing Services Corp. as senior manager, research and practice.
Bill brought passion and commitment to his work in housing. The impact of his work is evident in the many tributes that have emerged to honour Bill's dedication to improving social housing and reducing homelessness. He was an innovator who challenged conventional thinking in everything he did. We will miss his skills, his spirit and his smile.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Bill's wife, Joan, and their children, Jenny and Steve, during their time of bereavement.
