Fire Awareness Week kicks off across Toronto

Fire Awareness Week is here and this year Toronto Fire Services, in partnership with Toronto Community Housing, is getting its message out to residents of highrise buildings in the city.

Firefighters from across Toronto will be going door-to-door to talk to citizens and provide fire safety tips, including the brochure "Fire in Your Highrise." For additional tips on how to prevent a fire and on what to do in the event of a fire, see the tip sheet on�Toronto Fire Services' website.

To share the message with residents of our communities, events will be taking place at Toronto Community Housing communities across the city. Fire Services will be on-site with fun activities for young residents and refreshments for all who attend. Details of the events are below:

Monday, June 9: 30 Falstaff Avenue, 5 PM - 8 PM

Tuesday, June 10: 30 Gordonridge Place, 5 PM - 8 PM

Wednesday, June 11: 275 Shuter Street, 5 PM - 8 PM

Thursday, June 12: 15 Tobermory Drive, 5 PM - 8 PM

Saturday, June 14: 285 Shuter Street, 10 AM - 3 PM
