In the digital age, access to the internet is becoming more important, particularly for youth. For too many people, however, home internet access is too expensive. One and a half years ago, Toronto Community Housing, Rogers Communications, Compugen and Microsoft Canada began working together to bridge this divide through the Connected for Success program.

As part of the program, Rogers has been providing qualifying Toronto Community Housing residents with broadband internet service for $9.99 per month. The program also gives residents the opportunity to purchase a refurbished desktop computer from Compugen, including Microsoft software, for $150.
Since the launch of the program, thousands of Toronto Community Housing residents have signed up, and broadband speeds have been increased from 3 Mbps to 10 Mbps.
The Connected for Success program is open to rent-geared-to-income residents of Toronto Community Housing. RGI residents can sign up by calling 1-866-689-0758.
