Children and Youth Programs: Summer 2009

Children and Youth Programs: Summer 2009

April 02, 2009

Toronto Community Housing offers children and youth recreation and leadership programs in more than 40 communities across the City of Toronto.

Programs include summer day camps, after school programs, leadership and youth programs, baseball, basketball and aquatics programs. These programs offer children and youth a place to engage with one another and learn in a fun and safe environment.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic staff who are interested and experienced in providing children and youth with educational and recreational programs. These programs are in cooperation with tenant groups and other partners within a community setting. Employment with Toronto Community Housings children and youth programs will allow individuals to make a difference and have a positive impact on the futures of many children and youth in the community.

We strongly encourage applications from women and men, people from racialized communities, visible minorities, persons with disabilities and aboriginal persons. Toronto Community Housing is an equal opportunity employer. Persons with disabilities who need accommodation in the application process, or those needing job postings in an alternative format, may e-mail a request to: human.resources@torontohousing.ca.

We thank all applicants in advance for their interest in this position; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

All Children and Youth Staff who are 18 years of age and older are required to provide a police reference at the commencement of employment. Staff working with children and youth must have current first aid qualifications by the start of employment; if needed, a special session can be organized to facilitate this.
