TCHC launches 20 20 essay contest for youth

Toronto Community Housing is pleased to announce the launch of 20-20 Vision, a youth essay writing contest for TCHC tenants ages 18 to 29The contest, part of TCHC’s 20th Anniversary celebration, provides the opportunity for youth tenants to publish and share perspectives about their communities and TCHC’s role as a housing provider.   

 

Essayists will be asked to describe potential opportunities for TCHC communities as well as what strengthens and brings communities together (i.e. community programs, leadership, events).  They will also be asked to consider the greatest challenges and barriers facing TCHC as an organization currently and in the future 

 

Cash prizes for the first place ($5,000), second place ($3,000) and third place ($2,000) winners are generously donated by Wealthsimple Foundation.  Wealthsimple Foundation is helping to strengthen financial literacy in TCHC communities through their support of various programs in 2023.
