SPECIAL DEPUTATION PROCESS: APRIL 27th BOARD MEETING

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing need for social distancing, TCHC will be holding its April 27th Board meeting virtually. While the public portion of the meeting will be posted to TCHC's YouTube channel after the meeting, it will not be live streamed. We are continuing our work to identify and adopt measures that will provide for public attendance, in real time, at this type of virtual meeting, going forward. However, we are not presently able to do so. At the same time, we continue to value the input of members of the public to the matters that form part of our Board's Agenda.

If members of the public would like to depute to an agenda item on the April 27th agenda they have the option to do so by either:

  • leaving a two (2) minute voicemail at 416-981-5993 which will be heard by the Board at its April 27th Board meeting. Given the limitations of TCHC's voicemail system, messages should include your name and identify the Agenda Item Number to which your deputation relates and cannot exceed two minutes; or

  • submitting a written deputation to Charmaine Zina at charmaine.zina@torontohousing.ca which will be circulated to the Board. 

All deputation submissions will be made public after the meeting is held. Voicemail deputations will be part of the audio video record of the meeting that will be posted to TCHC's YouTube channel and written deputations will be posted with the meeting minutes. For this reason, please do not include personal information (like your phone number or address) in your deputation. Please note that individuals who elect to depute by voicemail can only leave one message for each item on the agenda for which they wish to depute; any additional messages on the same item will not be heard by the Board. 

Deputations to the April 27 Board meeting must comply with the requirements of TCHC's Deputation Policy. We expect deputations to be respectful towards tenant stakeholders, Directors and TCHC staff and deputations that do not comply with these requirements will not be considered by the Board. 

The deadline for written and voicemail deputation submissions is Friday, April 24th at noon (12:00 p.m.).
