Who can vote?
You may vote in the 2010 youth tenant election if you:
- are a Toronto Community Housing tenant;
- are 14 - 28 years of age; and
- live in the community where you wish to vote.
Does my name have to be on the lease to vote?
To be eligible to vote, as a Toronto Community Housing tenant, you must be a tenant, co-tenant or dependent of tenants in the building or complex where you are voting. This means you must be registered on the unit lease.
Can I still vote if I meet all the requirements to vote, but my name is not on the lease?
If you can prove that you live in Toronto Community Housing you may vote. You can do this by providing Identification or piece of mail that shows your name and address.
I live in more than one community - can I vote there also?
You may vote only once.
Even if you have special living arrangements with family members (such as parents or guardians) who live in more than one Toronto Community Housing electoral area -- you may only vote in one community.
