HERstory Chapter III: Emerge
This unique one day conference is the third chapter of a dynamic project which was designed to assist young women ages 13 to 16 in developing a healthy Mind, Body and Soul. Through a series of capacity building workshops (which will include: Healthy Relationships, Economic Management, Tri-Mentoring Career and Education Goals and Connecting to the World Around Us, as well as, entertainment), we will assist these young women in empowering themselves to address and overcome barriers they face in their daily lives and in the communities in which they reside. Our ultimate goal-through this experience-is to equip these young women with tools they can use to accomplish their goals and aspirations while striving for empowerment.
On Saturday September 27, 2008, 125 young women, will attend this one day conference; please see the attached registration form and flyer for details.
