Cricket Across the Pond

Chartered Institute for Management Accountants (CIMA), Canada in partnership with the City of Toronto are providing an opportunity for school children from 13 priority neighbourhoods to travel to the United Kingdom this summer for cricket training at the Chessington Cricket Club in Surrey, UK.

Nine players in the CIMA Toronto Mayor's XI will be selected from the priority neighborhoods and three from representing GTA schools.

Criteria:

  1. Live in one of the 13 neighborhoods
    • Jamestown
    • Jane-Finch
    • Westminister-Branson
    • Steeles-L'Amoureaux
    • Malvern
    • Kingston-Galloway
    • Scarbrough Village
    • Dorset Park
    • Eglington East-Kennedy park
    • Flemington Park-Victoria Village
    • Crescent Town
    • Lawrence Heights
    • Weston-Mt. Dennis
  2. Must be between ages 16 - 20
  3. have a referral from your Principal
  4. Active in school


Dates of the trip are:

  • Departure: August 15 2008
  • Return: August 29 2008
