The City of Toronto has announced that Toronto Community Housing is among 33 finalists nominated for one of 11 Green Toronto Awards.

These awards honour and celebrate individuals, organizations and companies leading the way to a cleaner, greener and more liveable Toronto. Toronto Community Housing is nominated for the Bob Hunter Environmental Achievement Award which recognizes outstanding contributions to the quality of the environment by a city agency, board, or commission.

The winners will be announced at the city's annual Green Toronto Awards ceremony, which will take place at the Green Living Show on April 25. In 2006, the tenant-led, Brahms BEST program won a Green Toronto Award in the community projects category 2006.
