Toronto Community Housing Children Enjoy a Trip to the Zoo This September, some children from Community Housing Unit 10 – Spadina/Downtown went on a trip to the Metro Toronto Zoo. The trip was organized by Toronto Police Services 52 Division as part of their ProAction Cops and Kids program.

Updating the Community Management Plan for 2008-2010 Thank you to everyone who came out for the consultations on the Community Management Plan (CMP) on Monday November 5. We heard from about 500 people at two meetings – participants included staff, tenants and community agencies.

Regent Park Revitalization - Phase One Condominium Groundbreaking Today, Toronto Community Housing in partnership with the Daniels Corporation, officially launched the start of construction of the first condominiums as part of transformation of Regent Park into a vibrant mixed income community. Three major commercial tenants were also announced as part of today's event.

Improving tenant services: Renewal of property management contracts Providing tenants with better services is a key part of Toronto Community Housing’s Community Management Plan. Toronto Community Housing is now implementing a property management strategy that will help ensure that all tenants receive quality services no matter where they live.

Toronto Community Housing Receives Outstanding Business Excellence Award

On October 23, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce presented Toronto Community Housing with the 2007 Outstanding Business Achievement Award for its work with the Carpenters' Local 27 Joint Apprenticeship and Training Trust Fund.

Looking From Inside Out This summer, Toronto Community Housing youth, adults and seniors participated in "Looking From Inside Out." The workshop, sponsored by the Toronto Arts Council - brought Muslim families together through art and creativity.
