Rivertowne/Don Mount Court win at the Greater Toronto Home Builder Awards
At the Greater Toronto Home Builder Awards held on April 27, 2007, Rivertowne/Don Mount Court took home four honours. The redevelopment in the south east end of Toronto beat out 50 other candidates for Best Lo-Rise Project of the Year!
It also won Best Project Logo, Best Lo-Rise Sales Office (under 1,800 square feet) and Best Lo-Rise Marketing Campaign.
Rivertowne/Don Mount Court is the first social housing redevelopment in Canada to reintegrate social housing with the surrounding neighbourhood and create a mixed income community.
The original 232 rent-geared-to-income units in Don Mount Court will be replaced within stacked townhouses and a low-rise apartment building. In addition, 187 market-ownership condominium townhouses will be built and sold under the Rivertowne emblem. The result will be a mixed-income, mixed-use neighbourhood that is reintegrated with surrounding communities.
Occupancy of the first phase of the redevelopment is scheduled to start in late 2007.
Development of this project is a joint venture of Marion Hill Development Corp. and Intracorp Developments Inc.
