Toronto Community Housing and Scadding Court Community Centre hold breakfast to honour diversity scholarship program

TORONTO - Toronto Community Housing and Scadding Court Community Centre will be holding a breakfast on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 8 a.m. hosted by Blaney McMurtry LLP to honour Investing in Our Diversity Scholarship Program recipients and supporters.

The Investing in Our Diversity Scholarship Program awards $4,000 post-secondary scholarships to youth leaders active in issues of diversity, equity and/or anti-racism. The program targets youth from marginalized communities who are working actively to improve their communities and their city.

Since the program began in 2002, $338,500 has been awarded to 86 youth recipients.

There will be opportunities to talk to two previous winners of the scholarships.
