As part of its Green Program, Toronto Community Housing will be replacing more than 200,000 incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs in the first phase of a light bulb exchange program. Compact fluorescent light bulbs use only one quarter of the energy of standard incandescent bulbs. Each bulb saves $40 in energy costs. The money saved goes right back into tenant priorities.
