88-90 Carlton Street
The property in downtown Toronto was acquired by Toronto Community Housing to redevelop into new housing. This project incorporates walk-up style townhomes at-grade, family units and units with terraces. The proposed 11-storey apartment building will contain 100 units, 48 designated as Regent Park replacement housing.
The site is located near schools, shopping, mass transit, parks, and various cultural and social institutions. The design incorporates the existing brick facades along Carlton St. in order to preserve the urban fabric of the city. Demolition and work on the façade has been completed and occupancy is scheduled for late 2008.
