Letter to the Editor re: 34 Oxford Street Toronto Community Housing sets the record straight. There is no rent increase for utilities. There is only one reason why rent goes up for a rent-geared-to-income tenant - an increase in their income.
About reporting your income

The Annual Review Package is mailed to all households once every year.  By law, Toronto Community Housing must review the income and assets for each person in your household.  Based on this review we decide if you still qualify for a rent-geared-to-income (RGI) subsidy.
